I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. I donate as much as I can as often as I can and I am lucky that my employer will match my gifts.   I wish I could give 10 times what I can, but that does not stop me from giving every penny I can.

My Dad was formally diagnosed with Alzheimer's more than 5 years ago.  My Mom is his primary care giver and she is doing a wonderful job!  But it is no easy task by any means.  I visit them for a week every month to help support my Mom and be with them both.  I love them very much and would do anything for them both, just as they have done for me.

It is the hardest thing to watch someone you love and care for to be slowly taken away by Alzheimer's.
