I’m walking because this is a heartbreaking disease. It was so sad and frustrating to watch my mom, a vibrant woman who would watch jeopardy and know 99% of the answers be diminished to not being able to dress herself, find her way from her room to the dining room, lose the ability to play bingo and sometimes not know how she knew me. Mom passed in July 2019, I miss her everyday. There are still days that I want to call her to share good news with her and then I realize she’s no longer here.

Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
