This is for Mom, the Peg of Our Hearts.
My Mom lost her long battle with Alzheimer's in May 2014. Throughout it all, she was always gracious, some say an unusual trait for those with Alzheimer's.
This was probably due to her upbringing and overall good nature. My Mom was a gentle and caring soul.
Her sister, my Aunt Mariann, lost her battle with Alzheimer's in 2020. They always supported each other and showed their deep love. I take comfort in knowing that their 'sister love' continues to this day since they both gave us many examples by which to live.
This is my NINTH year leading the Peg of Our Hearts team in Mom's honor. I am committed to leading this team for as long as I am able.
