We were anticipating retirement in 10 years, our golden years. Instead, we got Peter's Alzheimer's diagnosis at age of 52. We were both at the height of our professional careers, but Peter had to stop working when he was 53. I retired at 53 as well, to care for Peter as he could no longer be left alone.
Peter was brilliant and highly regarded by his co-workers, family and friends. We witnessed his swift decline until he passed away 12-26-2021 at the age of 56. The journey was horrific and my heart is broken and I became a widow at 55.
I'm leading a team to raise money for research. Research that will be done to find a cure to spare YOU, our children and Grandchildren from the agony and horror of this disease!
