Marc’s Personal Message:
“I’m living with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), a subtype of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). It’s difficult to get the words out, but don’t count me out of the conversation. My family and friends are so important to me, and resources like the Alzheimer’s Association (FTD Support Group), The Lutheran Home (Day Program), The Spark! Program and Rent A Daughter (Home Health Care) provide stability and connection in everyday life. Try to live your best life everyday and do the things you love as well as you can.”

Marc, Heidemarie, and Morgaine are excited to participate in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's and Other Dementia. This is our fourth year doing so, and hold wonderful memories of the 2022 walk when Marc was recognized as the Blue Flower representative for those living with dementia, and honored with being the Largest First-Year Team to walk; surviving the rain in 2023; and walking strong in 2024. Such a supportive and fabulous team of family and friends! We are also walking in memory of loved ones on both sides of our families, who have passed away from Alzheimer’s or other form of Dementia. We continue to understand what it means to live with Dementia/FTD/PPA and the importance of not only seeking out support, but also the ability to receive that help. We know we can’t do this alone. We hope that you can join us in supporting Marc, and The Alzheimer’s Association that has supported us in various ways over the years. Please register for the walk if you’re able to join us, and register even if you can’t walk. Both bring some funds to the Association. We appreciate any donations that you are able to make, no amount is too small, but not mandatory to register! If you choose to donate $100 or more, but certainly not expected, a T-shirt will be mailed to you from the Association. However, at this point the T-shirt will not arrive in time for this year’s walk. (Sorry for the short walk notice!) Please feel free to wear purple, a shirt in the “Parrot Head” spirit, or a past Alzheimer’s walk shirt. Thank you all for being a part of our team! ❤
