I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

Many of you knew how kind, creative, spicy and lively Mommy/Nana was. During her later years with Dementia, she became withdrawn and unable to do many of the things that we saw her do on a day to day basis.  This disease began to rob Nana of the life that she was use to living.  My mommy fought hard until she could no longer fight, but I choose to walk for not only her, but for others that are fighting this devastating disease.  Ever since mom has passed on to glory, I have seen so many other family members and friends suffering from this debilitating disease.   I believe that there will be a cure! I pray that a cure will be found for those that are suffering now and for those that will be diagnosed in the future.  Let's fight together!!!
