Eddie Hopson was born August 8,1925 in Greensboro, Alabama to late James and Abbie Hopson. The late Eddie and Mary Ann King united in marriage in May of 1948 and would have celebrated 67 years of marriage. In 2015, my great grandfather Eddie lost his battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Due to this detrimental lost on my entire family, we decided to lead the charge to raise awareness by participating in the PhillyWalk2EndAlzheimer’s. It is with great pride and admiration to stand as Team Captain for Eddie’s Legacy Walk Team. This year we honor the life and legacy of the 10th year anniversary of his death and the celebration of his heavenly 100th birthday.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m currently raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research. Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant on Eddie’s Legacy Walk Team!! Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease. Thank you!
