Walking for Dorothy
I’m walking in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in honor of my grandmother, Dorothy M. Metcalf (née Harland) — a woman whose love, laughter, and wisdom shaped my life.
Born on May 8, 1913, Dorothy lived nearly 94 years filled with kindness, strength, and joy. She was the heart of our family and a constant source of encouragement. Losing special parts of her to Alzheimer’s was heartbreaking, and I walk so that fewer families have to face the same loss.
Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that takes away moments we can never get back. My goal is to help give families more time together — more conversations, more smiles, more hugs.
Every step I take is for Dorothy… and for all those still fighting.
Please consider making a donation today to help advance research, provide care, and bring us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. No gift is too small — every dollar truly makes a difference.
Thank you for walking this journey with me.
