This is my 14th year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's. I am hoping this is the last year this event is needed.
I walk to honor my late mother, Sylvia Steinberg; a mother, nanny, aunt, sister, and great friend to many. This terrible disease robbed her of so many of life's riches including meeting her great- grandchildren and watching them grow. She was a role model to me as well as a successful woman in business (before it was the norm).
I was involved for nine years in California, as a legislative advocate and team leader for the Silicon Valley Walk. Now, I walk to support the Dutchess-Ulster Walk Across the Hudson.
Wouldn't it be absolutely marvelous for this to be the final Walk to End Alzheimer's? Thanks to your past and current support, this could be a reality!
