Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and NEITHER ARE WE!!!!  By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness & funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

I have witnessed my stepmother, Jude, struggle over the past 7+ years as she succumbs to this horrible & heartbreaking disease.  Jude was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in her early 60's.  She had just retired and planned to enjoy everything she worked so hard for her entire life so she could relax & travel with my dad-one of their favorite things to do, besides spend time with family & their friends who they consider family.  

I have watched my dad become the most incredible & patient caregiver.  I wish Jude was able to know how blessed she is to have my dad by her side, every second of everyday!  Anyone who sees the way he cares for her tells me the exact same thing, his love for her is unconditional & not many can do what he does 24 hours a day, every day!  He is her fulltime caregiver & he wouldn't have it any other way.  As hard as it is to watch my Stepmom decline, it's just as hard to see what this disease has done to my dad and how his life has changed. 

My hope is one day that families do not have to experience what my family has. Donations go a long way to hopefully find a cure!!!  Alzheimer's has deeply affected my family as we watch Jude's mind leaving her.  She was the planner of everything!!  Whether it was family related, the planner of street get-togethers, vacations, the bill payer, the grocery store list keeper/shopper-all you had to do was write it on the fridge & it magically appeared, the gift giver, the donation giver/shopper to all the families she adopted over any holiday-she never EVER missed a chance to give to others.  Jude was known to adopt 3-4+ families at a time just to make sure they had the holiday she felt they deserved.  Jude has only ever seen the good in everyone.    

And now, it is our families time to give everything back to Jude-she more than deserves that!!  I truly appreciate your support.  I am thankful for your prayers and any amount you are able to donate!  From, the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
