We are walking for our grandparents, Marge and Jack Schufreider, Hank Leesemann and Jack Lynch and the future of our family, especially our kids, Henry and Maeve. Marge passed away from Alzheimer's last November after living with Alzheimer's for 10+ years and Jack Schuf passed away from Alzheimer's in 2017. The Schufreider grandparents were the foundation of a family of 7 sons, their spouses and over 20 grandchildren. They were married 60+ years. Jen’s maternal grandfather,Hank Leesemann, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2020. Hank had 4 children and 11 grandchildren and is Henry’s namesake. Kyle’s maternal grandfather, Jack Lynch, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's and dementia in September, 2012. Jack was a loving husband to Jean Lynch, father to his 6 children, and grandfather to 18.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
We need your support to do our part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for your support!
