UIC Occupational Therapy Team for the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s
As students and faculty in Occupational Therapy, we recognize the vital role that occupational therapists play in supporting individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease, their families, and their caregivers. Through person-centered care, environmental modifications, and meaningful engagement in daily activities, OTs contribute significantly to enhancing quality of life across the progression of this condition.
In alignment with these values, the 2025 IllisOTA Board would like to take the lead in organizing a team from the UIC Occupational Therapy Department to participate in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We are passionate about raising awareness and funds to support critical research, advocacy, and resources that benefit those impacted by Alzheimer’s.
Together with faculty, students, and community partners, we are committed to fundraising and showing up in solidarity for this important cause. We hope to inspire collective action and demonstrate the power of occupational therapy in addressing one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time.
We look forward to your support and participation as we take steps toward a world without Alzheimer’s.
