The patriarch of our family, Anthony Peressini (or Bapo as he is known to the grandkids) is a caring, funny, hardworking, loving example to 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 16 (soon to be 17) great grandchildren.
Having earned his Ph.D in mathematics in 1961, he wrote books on precalculus, discrete math, the mathematics of nonlinear programming as well as mathematics books for other educators. He taught at the collegiate level for 35 years and is professor emeritus at University of Illinois.
Bapo has dementia, but that doesn't stop him from putting a smile on everyone of our faces. He continues to enjoy reading, watching movies, rooting for the Illini, and of course spending time with the love of his life. Since he and Joan (Nonna) moved into Clark Lindsey in August of 2022, they've continued the cherished tradition of hosting friends and family for Sunday Night Dinner.
We walk to honor Tony and to raise funds and awareness to advance the fight against dementia. Your kindness and generosity truly make a difference. Thank you for your support!
