We are walking for an amazing and wonderful man...my husband Terry Strickland. He was and is the love of my life. He was a amazing father to all our kids. Imagine a living a great life and slowly day by day it is taken away from you. The family and loved ones that you knew all you life are becoming strangers to you. Your memories are fading....Then one day you no longer know your wife, children, grandchildren and friends. You don't recognize your own home where you have lived for over 30 years. You're scared because you have no idea what's happening to you or your body. My husband lived it and my family watched it happen feeling helpless knowing there wasn't anything that we could do. Heartbreaking and devastating doesn't explain it. What were supposed to be the best times in our lives were taken away. Terry fought for 5 years with this horrible disease, He lost his fight November 11, 2023. Surrounded by family he took his last breath and his pain was gone as was he, but ours just began. No one explains to you how you go on without them, the emptiness you feel or the pain in your heart. But our pain is nothing compared to what he went through. Now we fight, we fight for him and the thousands of other people that suffer from this horrible disease. We pray for the day a cure or cause is found. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to many. Forever in our hearts....
