Why I Walk to End Alzheimer's,

    This year marks my third year participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's with my team, Cookie Crumble.  For the past eight years, I had the honor of caring for my beloved mom, Doris (aka-Cookie) who bravely battled Alzheimer's for a decade. On December 10th, 2024 my birthday, I lost her.  This will be my first walk without her here with us, and my heart is heavy with grief. 
     I walk to honor my mom and Aunt Marietta's memory and to fight for a future where no one has to endure the pain of losing a loved one to this devastating disease.  Alzheimer's steals memories, independence, and dignity, but together, we can work towards a cure.
     Every dollar raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's helps with the care, support and research efforts to bring us nearer to breakthroughs for families affected by dementia.  Every step I take is a step closer to ending Alzheimer's.
