Most of you don’t know, but Alzheimer’s carries a special place in my heartbecause of the impact it has had on a very special person in my life. I’ve watched helplessly as this disease ravaged her family. I watchedher as she lived in the darkness of disease progression, the reality oflosing someone you love while they are still here and the search for qualitycare and some form of comfort as her family member experienced the fear andsadness that comes with losing your ability to understand the world you arein. I had never been close to anyone affected by this and this experiencehas left a mark on my heart and a desire to make a difference.
So if you have some charitable donations to make up for this year'stax write off or if you happen to be wondering what to get me for my 50thbirthday ….. please consider donating to thiswonderful cause via my fundraising page. It would mean the world to me tomeet my goal and there is nothing else I would want for my half centurycelebration!
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
