Two years ago our group of friends who enjoy staying fit here in one of Rancho Mission Viejo’s Resident-Led Clubs decided to participate in this walk because we felt it was a very worthy cause. We are all living in Gavilan (55+) communities here, and most of us have been touched in some way by this disease. 

So we formed a team! Gavilan Walkers seemed like a perfect name as most of us enjoy the Walking class at the Guest House twice a week. But we have grown to include Line Dancers, Dancing Divas, fans of yoga, and of course we welcome anyone who wants to support this effort! 

I feel like the Alzheimer’s Walk needs our support more than ever now so I hope everyone will be there again this year on September 20th, at Sendero Field! See you there.
