When I was a teenager, my grandmother had dementia. I was young and didn't really understand what was happening, and unfortunately, dementia wasn't really talked about then. But, I remember how difficult it was for her. She struggled to remember things but still kept such a positive attitude. I miss her laugh and her smile, and she is the reason why I walk.
Recently, my aunt was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia. I'm still learning about what that means, but now have an even bigger reason to support the mission of the Alzheimer's Association. It is important to me and my family that we will one day live in a world without Alzheimer's and dementia. Please join me in this fight! Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
