This year, I’ve formed a team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and I’d be honored if you joined me in supporting the cause.
Alzheimer’s has deeply affected my family. My grandfather, Olan Burns (Olo), was a proud Arkansas Razorback, number 85. As Alzheimer’s slowly took away his memories and abilities, he always remembered his love for his family and his love for the Hogs. On June 26, 2020, after almost a decade-long battle, Olo’s fight with Alzheimer’s finally ended.
Just a few years later, on June 6, 2025, we lost my grandmother, Carole, after her own battle with vascular dementia. Carole and Olo lived lives full of love, faith, and legacy. We miss them every single day,
Sadly, so many of us also have family facing this disease. More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s today, and that number is expected to grow to 16 million by 2050 unless we change the course of this disease.
That’s why I walk. And that’s why I’m asking you to consider supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Every donation helps fund critical research, care, education, and resources for families like mine - and hopefully brings us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s or dementia.
