This is a cause that is near and dear to my heartas I lost my Oma and my Grandpa to Alzheimer’s and dementia, and with it beinga hereditary disease that is on both sides of my family, it’s very personal. This walk took on a whole newmeaning for me last year becoming a mom—because now I’m not just fighting thisdisease for my loved ones who have passed, butfor my daughter and future generations. Last year Jael was asked to be the “whiteflower” at the Waukesha walk, representing the first person to one day be curedof Alzheimer’s, something I hope I get to see in my lifetime.
