On Sept. 30 we will be walking in the Ozaukee County Walk to End Alzheimers in honor of my mom, Marilyn Brown. My mom fought a long 3 year journey with vascular dementia, a journey that greatly impacted our entire family until her death in 2010. We are walking to help raise funds and awareness for this disease that impacts so many. The Alzheimer's Association uses funds raised to further research for diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer"s and related dementias as well as providing training, resources, and support for the almost 200,000 people in Wisconsin who are caring for a loved one with this disease. Please join me on a  walk through beautiful Port Washington on Sept. 30.
