On this day we once again gather to honor Matt.
Matt was diagnosed with early onset dementia at the young age of 54. He embraced all that life had to offer. He had a job he loved that he had to give up after 32 yrs. Anything that involved being outdoors he did. He loved to fish, hunt, ski, bike, and walk. Being in the woods was his safe haven. He skied 19 American Birkebeiner ski races and passed away one week prior to his 20th. He passed while skiing on the Red Cedar Trail in Menomonie, WI of a cardiac arrhythmia in 2013. He loved life, his family, friends, and co-workers.
We will continue to keep his legacy alive everyday we are on this earth, but most importantly on this day of the Alz Walk. It brings us all together to share and reminisce about Matt. He is so worthy of this.
Thanks for your continued support!
