Join my co captains, Kathy Jeffrey, Ricky/Sue Gilbertson, Gaytha Hillman and me on Saturday, September 14. We're walking in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's.
Watching my mother's life at the end was awful...this disease took her away from us well before she passed. My dad just recently passed. At the end, he had a form of dementia where he knew what he wanted to say, but he couldn't find the words. Currently, more than 6 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Recent studies show that they are getting CLOSE!
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. Please join us as we continue to raise money to support the important work being done in providing Alzheimer's care and support and accelerating research.
Our team keeps growing each year. We feel blessed to gather with such wonderful people who show their support for their own reasons. Everyone has their own story.
