Through my 32 years of work experience as a Long-Term Support Social Worker with the elder population and with the Aging and Disability Resource Center I have seen firsthand the struggles faced by those diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers. After coming to terms with a diagnosis of dementia, people go through some of these emotions: loneliness, fear, loss and grief. The Alzheimer's Association addresses a crucial need, provides support and is a point of connection to other local resources.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
The end of Alzheimer's disease can be found with help from you! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a CURE!
Thank you for joining the movement for the FIRST SURVIVOR OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE!
