Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
I have been personally touched by both Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Our mom Alice has witnessed Alzheimer’s first-hand starting with her father Ray, and as a nurse, she chose to be involved in Alzheimer’s research in Madison, WI since 2000. She was hoping to help better understand this disease as it might affect her one day. Brain scans and other cognitive tests were performed year-over-year before she was diagnosed in 2018. She is still involved in the study today.
Our aunt was diagnosed with dementia and we honor her as she lost battling the disease in 2022.
I have cared for someone diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, this is a tough disease to handle for both the person experiencing it as well as the families that are working to help.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant, join our team, and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease!
