 I started volunteering for the Walk with Alzheimer's because I have been affected by this disease in so many ways.  My Mom passed away after a long fight with Alzheimer's and thanks to my Dad who took care of her everyday she was well taken care of but that does not happen for most. My Dad dealt with a lot of stress and anxiety on how to take care of my Mom on his own until he had health issues of his own.  Then he went to the nursing home everyday to feed my Mom breakfast and then lunch and lay her down for a nap. Then he would go home and take care of himself. They were married 60 years and they lost so many years to this horrible disease. I also lost my grandma and two of my Mom's sisters to Alzheimer's. I am trying to get as big of a team as possible this year to raise money for a cure for Alzheimer's and make people aware of the walk and how important it is to raise money for this horrible disease. I would appreciate you joining my team and raising as much as you can or just walk to help raise the awareness of Alzheimer's.
