Hi everyone,
I am walking for my grandfather Manuel Ruelas. My grandfather was a great man who loved God, his family, and his fellow man. He loved meeting new people, passing out bible tracks and pamphlets.
He worked as a barber for many years and developed so many life long friendships that even after retirement people would come to his home where he had a barber chair and his garage and still get their haircut. He cut my hair for most of my childhood and was my best friend. Sadly towards the end my grandfather couldn’t remember most of his loved ones, but one thing he always remembered was Jesus.
I can still hear his voice every time he would answer the phone “Praise the Lord!” Please help me in honoring his memory and so many others out there who have suffered or are suffering.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for your support!
