Eight years ago, we started participating in The Walk to End Alzheimer's. It has always been a moving event to be surrounded by people who care for, remember, or are facing the disease. This year, we will be carrying purple flowers to represent that we have lost someone to this relentless disease and yellow flowers to signify those of us doing the difficult work of caring for someone with Alzheimer's.

We will walk in memory of four loved ones of our Walk Team:

Sara Mockett

Dorothea "Dottie" Barnicoat

Charles Harville

None of us can tackle this disease alone. The emotional challenges of having a loved one who suffers from Alzheimer's are lightened by sharing our challenges with friends. We will walk together again on September 28th. Consider donating or signing up to walk in honor of Mike, Sara, and Dottie.
