I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's for the 5th time this year.
I have now experienced two great-grandparents and one grandparent living and dying with Alzheimer's disease. It is incredibly sad to see someone you love lose their cognitive function and ability to remember the beautiful life they lived. It is equally difficult to watch a parent commit their life to serving as a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer's disease. This disease takes an immense toll on families, including caregiving time, financial resources, and mental health.
This year for my birthday I am raising funds to support research and advocacy that advance the fight against this disease. I greatly appreciate whatever you can contribute. Thank you for your support!
