I'm walking, for my 28th year, to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2024 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's with the Bonners Ferry Walkers Team, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. This is not someone else's disease, this is something our friends and family struggle with daily. We all know someone who knows someone. I lost an Aunt and a sister to dementia.
Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. The majority of funds raised at this walk will stay in the North Idaho area to help those in need. Work is being done to bring a support group to Bonners Ferry.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here. As I have said in the past, "I don't want to live to be old and not know about it." Help me and others remember. Love you Aunt Marge and Ann!
