As an organization that cares for individuals who have Alzheimer's and dementia, we understand what it's like to watch someone you love slip away from the vibrant person they were and how helpless it feels as the disease progresses. We had a resident who held a job, was able to do household chores, had strong relationships with her family and friends and then was taken by Alzheimer's disease. She would be folding laundry, a task she had done her entire adult life, then look at a shirt and not remember how to fold it. This turned into frustration and then anger as she felt defeated and rendered useless.

We walk to help raise awareness and fundraise to help in the efforts to develop treatments that will fight this brutal disease. Please join us in this very worthy cause.
