I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. The good news is significant progress has been made with two new drugs receiving FDA approval last year.
This is my eighteenth year of participation, and fifteenth year of walking in memory of my parents, Paul and Margaret Perdue, who spent the last five years of their lives battling dementia. It was a profound journey to witness the mental, physical and emotional decline and to care for both of them as the disease progressed. MY PASSIONATE MEMORIES ENDURE ... SO I WALK FOR A CURE!
I have a strong conviction and sense of urgency to do my part in seeing the first Alzheimer's survivor and need the help of other people. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. Whatever amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Make your secure, tax-deductible online donation now. On behalf of the millions of Americans who are living with this fatal, degenerative disease, thank you for supporting my efforts. The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
