I’m not only participating in this walk but I’m also an Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Virginia Board member and I have a very personal reason why I want to fight this disease.
My father suffered from Lewy Body Dementia and it was difficult to watch his rapid decline. It took a toll on the entire family, but especially my mother, his caregiver. I’m walking to try and prevent other families from having to go through what my family did. In my lifetime I want to see a world without Alzheimer’s disease. I’m stepping up in hopes of making a difference, but I need your help.
