Alzheimer's disease is heartbreaking, and affects families over the course of many years. My Aunt Jeanne lived with this debilitating disease for many years before passing in 2023. Her husband Jim Underwood worked tirelessly to keep her comfortable at home throughout each stage of her illness. Being a caretaker takes a toll on families. Without the help of family and organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association, staying at home would not have been an option. I will walk this year in memory of Aunt Jeanne. Lets find a cure for this debilitating disease. I hope that future generations will not know the pain of the long goodbye.
My colleagues at Baskervill and I are standing up to fight this disease. Our team was listed on the top ten corporate sponsors list for the Richmond Walk in 2019 & 2020. In 2021 & 2023 I achieved Grand Champion status. We’ve raised more than $12,500.00 for the Richmond Walk and we are honored to contribute to the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's® for the 6th year in a row.
I hope to see Alzheimer's first survivor in my lifetime. Your donation will advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
