Our senior living community is working together - residents and staff - to help the Alzheimer's Association support research to find effective treatments and hopefully a cure for this terrible disease. We all do what we can to fundraise: from donut sales to cornhole tournaments we pitch in for this worthy cause.
Earlier this year we raised over $43,000 when Lakewood Retirement Community's team member 46-year-old Brad Muranko and 43-year-old Justin Paget bicycled the Blue Ridge Parkway (469 miles!!!) from Virginia to Cherokee, NC. At the same time Joe Kent, an 80-year-old Lakewood resident, cycled around Lakewood's campus, riding a total of over 300 miles in 6 days!
Our team goal is to raise over $65,000 in 2024. You can help us by donating any amount you choose to one of our team members. Your donation will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association, and it is tax-deductible.
Please help us to meet our goal!
