Kelly James was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease in October of 2020; however, we saw signs of dementia many years prior. Our family has watched as the incredible woman we all love and know continue to slowly slip away from us day by day. We loved her then and we love her now. Kelly was a light to so many and was loved by all who got the lucky opportunity to get to know her! She was a trailblazer in a sense- she moved away from her family in Long Island NY to attend and graduate from college, and instead of going back home, she stayed and started her own life out West. She is a loving wife, a mother to three, and a very special nana to 7 beautiful grandchildren. She loves the family that she and her husband Bruce created together; family meant everything to Kelly! She had the most contagious laugh and beautiful smile, she loved to make others laugh, and had a sense of humor that would not quit. By trade she was an educator and boy did she love people! No one was a stranger to her, and all were drawn to her spunky, loving, and warm personality. People who got to associate with Kelly James were so lucky, because she was simply the best. She was an advocate for so many, always taking care of and loving those who came into her life, and now it is our turn to be an advocate for, take care of, and love her.  

Some have asked why we have titled the name of our team as Team Luck. We as a family feel very lucky to be able to have Kelly, lucky to be her husband, lucky to be her children, lucky to take care of her, and lucky to be able to honor her and keep the legacy of who she once was alive after it’s all said and done.
