In 2020, my mom was diagnosed with this heartbreaking disease. My family and I were not prepared for what was to come with this diagnosis because we never would’ve imagined it would happen to the person who we love the most in this world who gave us life.
Now, there are very little moments that I get my mom back for five minutes and I desperately wish those 5 minutes could last forever.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising awareness and funds to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
