One of the hardest parts to accept about this disease is that there is no hope when the diagnosis is given. There is no current cure, and we know; sitting in those chairs in the doctor's office what the future holds for our loved one. I do hope that one day this disease will no longer drain the hope from people in this world. I will be walking for my dad on October 19th, because I don't want anyone to have to experience the wretched pain that comes to people diagnosed with Alzheimer's and the pain that comes to their families. You are not alone. My dad did not have a choice in this disease, but I am going to choose to fight it the best I can. Please make the choice to fight, and walk with me on October 19th. Bring some light to everyone coping with this dark disease.
