This disease is very close to my heart! I watched my grandpa, Pop, struggle with the awful disease for years. Alzheimer's took the things that he loved the most away. He loved to drive around and hunt, and because of this disease, he was unable to do that. He loved to be with his family celebrating any occasion, and because of Alzheimer's, he couldn't remember us. He was the sweetest man, even though he could be stubborn. Even when he could not remember the people or the stories we were telling, he would always have a smile on his face. This year, I am fundraising for him with the hope that one day we will have a cure for this disease. I am walking for Harold Underwood.
The Walk to End Alzheimers means so much to me. Looking at the flower garden in the field and seeing how many others have lost a loved one because of the awful disease gives me chills. I am honored to be part of the change and hopefully become part of a cure someday. Last year, I had the second largest donation in San Angelo and would love to beat that this year! Any donation would be appreciated. I appreciate your support in ending Alzheimer's!
