In memory of my Mama

February 11, 1951 ~ June 29, 2023

Mama fought an almost 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She was diagnosed with early onset in August 2016.

The team name, !Apúrate¡, means hurry in Spanish. For all those out there suffering or know someone with the disease, we want to “hurry” to find a cure. It’s also a word my mama started saying repetitively and that’s when we saw her first decline. It was really sad to watch.
