Nearly 5 years ago, I lost my grandfather, Poppy, to Alzheimer's disease. My sweet Poppy was the most brilliant, caring, and loving person I have ever known. I miss his funny sayings & smiling face every day. Alzheimer's is so much more than "forgetting". I watched Poppy mentally decline for years as his disease progressed. At the young age of 71, he passed away. No family or person should have to go through the horrors of Alzheimers. We must find an end to the disease.
My sorority, Sigma Kappa, is partnered with the Alzheimer's Association. I will be walking in honor Poppy during the Walk to End Alzheimers. I would love if you could support me and donate below. All proceeds will go to the association. Every bit counts!
