Mom suffered with this disease for years. It was painful to watch the changes that she went through. I can't even imagine the horror she felt. One moment knowing who your child is to the next thinking your child is a complete stranger, and then not knowing how to do normal everyday things, such as brushing your teeth or feeding yourself.
So I do this walk in her honor. I'm asking you to think about her. Now PLEASE think about those who are suffering with this disease right now. I pray not one of you will ever be diagnosed with this or one of our family members have to go through it to take care of them.
