The first time I really learned about Alzheimer's disease- was when I worked for now retired US Rep. Olson, as we met with a group of advocates who shared with us their story. It wouldn't be til years later when my own grandmother (Nana) was diagnosed that I would really come to understand the disease- and the myriad of challenges it creates for not only the person diagnosed- but the caregivers. I am proud now to work for the Alzheimer's Association- advancing our cause through legislation. But for me- full circle means having my own walk team, and walking for "Nana." If you are reading this- it's likely because I guided you here. No donation is too small. I thank you so much for your consideration, and being a partner with me in this fight. We will always remember Nana- her can do attitude, and big sense of humor! And while we're at it, if it's not too much trouble- we will remember her husband Robert (Papa) too, for he did indeed care for and love her- til death did them part.
