I walk for my grandfather, Roy Johnston. Know to me as "Papaw", Roy struggled with the disease for almost 10 years before his passing in 2019. I admired my Papaw for always lighting up a room with his personality and never passing up an opportunity to meet a stranger. My family saw firsthand how Alzheimer's and Dementia can rob you of the person you knew and loved. I feel he was very lucky to have a family that was able to take care of him in his most vulnerable years. I fundraise not only in his memory but knowing him, he would want to help the ones that are not as fortunate. Please join me this year and feel free to donate for anyone in your life that has been affected!
