Once again this year, I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's(R). I lost a grandfather (Fred Boyer) to Alzheimer's in 1989, and my father is now in the battle and living with us as my wife and I care for him. We have lost others in our extended family as well (Henry Harper, Virginia Harper, and Phyliss Waterman) and know many others who have been affected by this terrible disease. We are walking to support all those past, present and future, that are impacted by Alzheimer's.

Currently, ~6.7 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to double by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
