Welcome to our team page Alzheimer Sucks for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®! I created this team for my mom (Lou) who has Alzheimer and for each of my friends who are impacted by their loved ones having this horrible disease. 

This Walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®. Currently, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. Alzheimer's disease is one of the most expensive diseases in the United States, costing more than cancer and heart disease.

In 2024, the estimated cost of caring for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias in the United States is $360 billion. US Healthcare does not provide much support unless you hit medicaid compared to other diseases.
