I (Jim Reichel) will be participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 19th in memory of Kathy's dad who lost his battle with this dreaded disease, and in honor of your loved ones who have been, are, or will also be affected.

You may have noticed that Kathy is not walking with me this year. Unfortunately, Kathy is in a memory care facility with Alzheimer's. That will make walking this year even harder for me. Kathy's devotion to this cause will keep me walking this year and as many years as I can. In my heart, Kathy will always be walking with me.

Currently, more than 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia. In the United States alone, more than 7 million have Alzheimer's - an increase of 2 million from last year. That number is expected to grow as much as 14 million by 2050.
