I am walking in honor of my Granny! She was an amazing woman of God and loved her family. She was such a wonderful cook, and we all loved going to her house to eat and visit. Granny was diagnosed with this disease, and we soon lost the Granny we knew. She was distant, unaware, agitated and lost. We came alongside of her and tried to visit regularly and bring her favorite things to her. My mom, Pat was an only child. She unselfishly gave of her time and loved her mother. She went after work every evening to feed her, giver her meds and make sure she had a good meal. My Mom attended to her mother's needs and honored her until Granny took her last breath. She was loved greatly. We miss her every day and know that she's with Jesus now and healthy and whole. We walk for you Granny and for so many living with this disease and those taking care of them. We admire the love and commitment you show every day. Let's walk to end this horrible disease and not allow Satan to steal, kill, and destroy our memories.
