Our team is trying to raise awareness and funds to fight the horrible disease Alzheimer's that took my daddy's memory and then his life way to soon. He passed away on July 10th 2020 at the age of 69. This disease runs in the family and I have been witness to it too many times. Research is ongoing and new discoveries are being made. We need to help these researchers to find a cure. We are walking to honor Papa and beat this disease. Our team name "Racing for Papa" is a nod to his love of talking to my son Everett about how he always loves to go fast in all he does. He loved hearing stories of Everett's dreams of racing. A "Racing for Papa" decal will be proudly placed on his Go Kart to bring awareness. Let us remember those my dad left behind to continue this fight. My mom, Joyce, his grandkids, Justin, Darcy, Heather and Everett, son in-law Jon, 6 great grandkids and all those who loved him.
