I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's™, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support.
This fall my team Cindi’s Caregivers/Mindful Care will participate with friends and loved ones that have been effected by this mind stealing disease in HOPE of a cure and first survivor in the Rutherford County Alzheimer's Association. I support this walk because it has a personal meaning to me since my Grandmother (Evalina Thomas) had Alzheimer’s and I have worked with its victims for over 35 years as a nurse, neighbor and friend. My heart is into advocating for a cure and more research for prevention. My personal fundraising goal is to raise $ 1000, and I invite you to join us by doing any of the following:
- Join the Cindi’s Caregivers Team, which includes, caregivers, family members and friends who are collecting pledges .
- Make a tax-deductible contribution of any amount to Alzheimer's Association. It can be made online, or mailed in (details below).
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
In a Gallup poll commissioned by the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 in 10 Americans said that they had a family member with Alzheimer’s and 1 in 3 knew someone with the disease. The number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease will continue to grow – by 2050 the number of individuals with Alzheimer’s could total 16 million.
Please help join the fight against Alzheimer's disease by joining my team or sponsoring my participation in the Memory Walk --any amount is welcome. Please note that checks should be made payable to the Alzheimer's Association, and are tax deductible.
Proceeds from Memory Walk are used to support a wide range of Alzheimer-related programs for the thousands of local families and caregivers affected by the disease. For more information, visit www.alz.org/memorywalk or contact me at 615-556-3173.
Thank you for considering this request. If you have any questions about the Memory
Walk, or the work of the Alzheimer's Association, please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
Cindi Thomas,TN 4th district Alzheimer’s Ambassador and Walk committee member
